Oranges. Nougat. Balanced.
Cenfrocafe is one of the most professionally working co-opera- tives for Specialty grade coffee in Peru. Consistency and trace- ability are the key reasons for this.
Most of the 2000 members are smallholders with farms of four to ten hectares close to the Tabaconas national park area who combine forces at Cenfrocafe in order to produce better quality more consistently. The region has deep cultural roots into the indigenous traditions, which is reflected in the general handling of the coffee and in their sustainable agricultural means in particular. This coffee is organic certified.
The top quality coffee from Cenfrocafe is called Apu and is a contribution of multiple producers from the higher altitudes above 1600m meters above sea level. Apu means "the gods of the mountains“ who protects the land and the coffee.
The Apu is blended based on the highest quality standards pos- sible which consider green coffee scoring, flavour profiles, water content and activity, as well as density of the coffees.
The Q-graders at Cenfrocafe have been the first of whole Peru and are still considered the best of the country.
