Raspberry. Glazed Cherry. Winey acidity. Very sweet.
This is our third coffee from Kenya this year - more specifically from the Nyeri region. Chinga is a washing station which processes coffee of more than 1000 farmers of the region. Grown at 1800 meter above sea level in a very fertile region between the rivers Rwarai and Chinga this coffee comes with complex flavors and heaps of sweetness.
Top grade Kenyan coffees always come perfectly sorted by screen size. (This is what AA, AB or PB means) An even bean size is important for us as roasters to develop coffees homogenously. As you need generally more time and energy to develop a larger bean an even screen size will result in a cleaner and more refined cup of coffee.
We have selected this Chinga AB lot for it‘s outstanding sweetness which makes its so enjoyable as an espresso. It reminds us of those glazed cherries you get with cocktails. Very sweet and fruity but also sparkling and vibrant at times.
