Plum Jam. Guji Berry. Elderflower.
You can expect an incredibly complex cup, driven by the fruit qualities expected from this region. There is a medium to high, plum jam like sweetness, with a hint of maple syrup. The acidity is well modulated in the cup, offering notes of Guji Berry and red currants, and as it cools, the silky mouthfeel and Cranberry like finish round the cup off.
The coffee is very unique and it is our first offering from Kenya this year, grown in the Kirinyaga county, on the slopes of Mount Kenya. We were amazed by the intensely aromatic tropical notes, florals and complexity of this coffee and we have been fortunate to buy the full production of the AA grade, the highest grade produced at this farm for this year.
